John De Graeme Sites 

The Tomb of sir John De Graeme

Sir John De Graeme fought along side Sir William Wallace in many battle's ...but it was the Battle of Falkirk in 1298 that would be the last battle they fought side by side 
during the battle the Armour protecting Sir John that had not been fitted correctly exposed a weakness 
the weakness was exploited by an English Knight and Sir John fell on the battle field 
the Legendary poem by blind harry stated that Wallace was distraught at the loss of his closet friend  
it is said that Wallace carried Sir John's body to the Nearby church and left him in the care of the priest there who buried him in the Kirk yard

Sir John De Graeme  Memorial fountain 

The Sir John De Graeme Fountain was presented to Falkirk By Robert Dollar in memory of the Scottish patriot John De Graeme legend has it that the site marks the place were Sir John De Graeme fell at the Battle of Falkirk 1298

DUNDAFF CASTLE
Sir John De Graeme,s Castle
​This Motte and bailey castle ​​ is a very rare example of a Square design while most are round
​it is from here that Sir John De Graeme lived his adult life leaving to fight with Sir William Wallace in 1290s in the Scottish wars of independence
​Dundaff castle is located in the picturesque Carron valley reservoir between Denny and Fintry

The Battle of Falkirk 1298 Memorial Carin 
located with in the grounds of Calender Park in Falkirk the Cairn was completed in 2007 in memory of all those 
that Fought and died during the Battle of Falkirk 
most notably was Sir John De Graeme  and Sir John Stewart
